PagesJaunes, France's largest local search company, has created UrbanDive. The tool combines
3D streetview imagery, augmented reality, social media, local directory information and
purchasing and reservations systems to create a unique immersive search experience across web
and mobile platforms. UrbanDive turns the city into a playground.
Rich content to power UrbanDive
Aerotopia's Paul Smith brokered a deal between PagesJaunes and 3D imagery company
earthmine to capture rich 3D content from the top French cities – content that is the very core of
the UrbanDive service. As Chief Strategy Officer of earthmine inc. at the time, Paul drove the
project from defining the initial offering with PagesJaunes, to establishing the European content
acquisition strategy and setting the project in motion.
What Aerotopia brought to the project
Aerotopia's Paul Smith brought a unique combination of location, social media and search
experience to the project, ensuring PagesJaunes could get, and stay, ahead of the curve in the
immersive search space. Aerotopia anticipates excellent public response when UrbanDive goes
live – internal feedback from testing and beta reviews has been superb.
